KVM compatability

Question

I have a Dell 15fp console for KVM I have it connected to a Raritan Dominion KX Kvm. The keyboard works fine but the mouse hasn't worked from the begining. Everything works fine when it is connected directly to the server. I've tried usb and ps2 dongles and nothing works. Can anyone help?

Have you checked with Raritan (are they still in business?).  Some switches put a 'dummy load' on PC's that are not connected so they think there is a keyboard and mouse connected so the PC will boot. Some do not and if it's the type that's not putting a dummy load on the PC that may the issue.

jpom101, What operating system are you using.? We used that same one, and found that on the ones we ran Red Hat, we needed to define the mouse a different way, In Windows it ran just fine. Check with raritan and see if they can get the command setup for you.
