M8428-k trunk not working
Hello,
we have two M1000e blade chassis with two M8428-k (firmware: 6.3.1_dcb1) converged networking switches each. So that makes four M8428-k. On only one of these we have a working trunk (more then one vlan). On the other switches we can connect to the individual vlan's when we put the port in access mode, but we loose the connection when we put the port in trunk mode. Any suggestion?

We are making the trunk to a blade which has Windows 2008R2 installed on it through a QLogic QME8142 Dual Port 10Gbps FCoE Converged Network Adapter. With the appropriate vlan set in vlan id on the nic.

Thats right. We are checking every bit and byte but see no difference in the config between the switches. We had some hired help to get us going and maybe they did something we are not aware of that is not easy to spot in the config.
I do not see general mode to pick from; access, trunk or converged. But the working trunk seems to be in trunk mode.
And right again on the virtualization host bit.

Hello,
We are having the same exact issue. Switch 1 is working fine with an LAG we have setup. Switch 2 with the same exact config disables the internal blade port as soon as we apply a port associations to the LAG.
Any thoughts?

Thank you. We have two switches in the blade chassis that home run back to stacked Force10 S4810 switches. On the Force10 we have 2 LACP groups. One for each M8428-K switch. Ports 17 and 18 on the M8428-K connect to the Force10 Switches.
Switch M8424-K-3 is working fine
Switch M8424-k-4 is not. We configured them both the same. We verified that both port channels on the 4810 are setup exactly the same. The issue is that when we port associate one of the blade ports to the LAG, the port goes down because the Port Channel is showing link protocol down. I have complete Show Tech-support but I'm including the running config below for both switches. Please let me know what you think:

Hello,
We found out that the issue was on S4810. The LACP groups weren't separated. They were 1 group with all four ports. once we separated them all was well.
