macalRuleActionGet in the log files
We created a access management rule on our switch to prevent in-band management, and since then we are getting a lot of the following log entries:
<189> Mar 8 11:17:48 DenCoreSW01-1 MGMT_ACAL[SNMPTask]: macal_api.c(872) 35968 %% macalRuleActionGet(): List does not exist.
This is the configuration we are using to only allow OOB Managment:
management access-list "DenyInBandMGMT"
deny service any priority 1
exit
management access-class DenyInBandMGMT
System Model ID: N4064
Firmware
unit active
---- -----------
1 6.3.1.13
Can anyone help with preventing these log entries?
Thank you

It is listed as a fix in the latest firmware http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=5C8J3&fileId=3647608380&osCode=NAA&productCode=networking-n4000-series&languageCode=en&categoryId=NI
FIELD-2202-SNMP Logs the following message:'MGMT_ACALSNMPTask: macal_api.c(872)1264 macalRuleActionGet():List' during SNMPWalk.

All I see on that page 908 is how to set the logging severity, not how to fix the error from happening in the first place?

Hi,
You could try changing the logging level so that it doesn’t log those entries. Page 908 ftp://ftp.dell.com/manuals/common/networking_nxxcli_en-us.pdf

Looks like this is what it did
Edge port going to discarding state
[PSE037712]
Port enters PVID Inconsistent state and stays in that state forever until a correct SSTP BPDU is received.
Corrected processing of port restoration paths.
