Manage PowerConnect 5324
We currenty have a working network with a basic DHCP router. The company I work for has three company's under it which I'd like to start using the VLAN abilities from the 5324.
First Q? Does the 5324 only need one port configured for VLAN or do all of them? I'll have about 14 workstations that will be connecting to the switch. Currently "g1" which is port 1 on the switch is configured with a static ip address which I can log in through a browser....
Second Q? Does the 5324 have the ability to setup its on DHCP server on it? Or is there a way to send the IP address from my main DHCP server which is my router to the VLAN?
If anyone has any ideas and ways through setting up the switch please help!!!!

If your DHCP server is on the same subnet/vlan then it will serve addresses to all systems on that vlan from the current scope you have configured on it.
If your DHCP server is on a different vlan you will have to enable DHCP forwarding on the router to your DHCP server. Along with adding another scope to it.
