Multiple IP Addresses, one MAC, one NIC

I have a Dell Poweredge running VMware connected to a PowerConnect 6024. I've installed 2 virtual machines and am having trouble with them both being able to connect to the network at the same time. These two virtual machines are "bridged" with the host operating system. There is only one NIC present in the server.

Basically, each machine (virtual and host) has it's own IP address but the switch is seeing only one MAC address. I think this is causing problems. When I start the first virtual machine, it can browse the network without any trouble. When I start the second virtual machine, the second virtual machine cant connect to the network.

Is the PowerConnect denying the connection because it sees 3 IP addresses with the same MAC address running through the same NIC (thus the same port on the switch)? Is there a setting that I can modify to allow this to happen?

Post your 6024 config and a description of your network.  A link to a picture would be best.

What are the IP addresses and vlans configured in vmware.  Are the packets tagged coming out of the server?

You should have 3 MAC addresses assigned automaticaly if you have 3 VM instances......otherwise you will have issues.

Here is an article from VMware on setting up NIC/MAC settings :
