New X1052P, Help

I just got a new 1052P. Installed it into the rack, plugged it in. Went through the setup wizard and gave it a name and IP. Then put my computer back onto the normal network settings, plug into the switch and cannot log in via the GUI.

So, naturally, I try the console port. I noticed that the name of the switch is one number higher than what I originally named it. When I try to enable, the password I set is not accepted.

Is there something I'm missing? I set it up as DHCP just to make sure it "switches", everything worked. I need it to be managed so I can make my Cisco phones work on it, amongst other items.

What is it I am doing wrong?

Hi,

If you are not able to get into enable you may want to reset the switch since this is a new install. Page 36 http://downloads.dell.com/Manuals/all-products/esuprt_ser_stor_net/esuprt_networking/esuprt_net_fxd_prt_swtchs/networking-x1000-series_User%27s%20Guide_en-us.pdf

Hold the reset button in for 7 seconds.
