PC2324 & VLANS
Hi,
We have a PC2324 on our network. Its an unmanaged switch. I need to connect it to another switch that has some VLANs configured on it. Will the PC2324 work ok on a network with VLANs?
The computers connected to the 2324 don't need to be in a VLAN but they will need to communicate with computers that ARE in VLANS. Will the switch just forward traffic without a issue?
thanks

The Powerconnect 2324 appears quite basic and does not support spanning tree or VLAN trunking.
Sample Dell deployment is here :

From your exiting switch you will essential plug it into an existing VLAN as an access port....and all users/PC's on the 2324 are essentially in the same VLAN/subnet.
There is a warning in the 2324 documentation not to connect more than one port to other switches - as this could create a broadcast loop (as no SPT supported).
