PowerConnect 2716 and multicast
I have a PowerConnect 2716 that I'm running a high-bandwidth multicast application on. I can't get it to run at speeds higher than approximately 12MBytes/sec using 1500 byte packets (one node transmitting, 2 nodes receiving). I have 3 machines connected to it using Intel e1000 cards running Linux 2.6.15. Flow control is enabled on the machines and the switch (which is in managed mode). I've disabled Multicast flood control both as a global setting as well as broadcast flow control on the ports. When I disable flow control on the switch and nodes, I get massive packet loss. Is the PowerConnect 2716 known to be limited to 12MBytes/sec (100Mbit/sec?) for multicast? Does anyone have advice on how to achieve higher multicast bandwidth.
Running in the same configuration but with a cheap AirLink 101 8 port GigE switch, I hit 100MByte/sec performance fairly easily. I was hoping the PowerConnect would allow Jumbo Frames to be enabled, which the AirLink does not support.
Your advice is appreciated.

Are you running the latest FW? There was an earlier bug that caused performance problems for packets running close to max MTU size.

Thanks for the suggestion. The firmware version is 1.0.1.07 and the boot version is 1008. The firmware version appears to be the latest available on the web site. Is the boot version relevant to this operation of the switch?
Can anyone confirm that the switch is capable of multicasting at Gb line speed?
Thanks in advance.
