PowerConnect 3524P Max Power
What is the maximum power output for the PowerConnect 3524P? I am planning on purchasing this switch and will be connecting at least 10 Polycom SoundPoint IP 335 phones. Will this overload the switch? The remaining ports will be used for computers (no POE requirements).
Thanks for any advice!

Hi,
Here is excerpt from Dell PC 3500 sheet:
"The PowerConnect 3524P and 3548P offer Power-over-Ethernet capabilities to power IEEE 802.3af compliant network-attached devices, such as wireless LAN access points, VoIP handsets, and video cameras. Both switches can provide up to 15.4W of power per port simultaneously for PoE operation (the EPS-470 extended power supply is required for the PowerConnect 3548P)."
So Dell PC 3524P can power up to 24 Class 3 PoE devices, your IP phones is class 2 (require less power, 7W vs 15.4W) and there will be no problems
