Powerconnect 5324 Trunk

Question

I have a 5324 and am trying to connect it to a 3com corebuilder 9000 via fibre.  I have set up a 4 port port-trunk on the corebuilder and have connected 4 fibre cables from these 4 ports to the 4 fibre gbics on the 5324.    I have assigned an ip address to the vlan interface 1 on the 5324.  Then I set up a LAG for the 4 fibre gbics.   All appears ok except I can get no traffic across this port-trunk.  I have a server plugged into the 5324 and cannot ping across onto the rest of our network.  If i plug a cat6 copper cable from this 5324 direct to another powerconnect switch which is on our network, all is fine.  As soon as I unplug this cable the connection dies again.   Can anyone help?

I've solved my own problem! I had TCMP enabled on the corebuilder end of the trunk.  I've now disabled this and it all works fine.
