Ok so I have been doing some playing in the web interface and have figured out how to setup seperate vlans and assign each vlan to a specific set of ports and then set the whole deal to a specific subnet.
I look to be stuck on the default gateway, in which I would need a seperate one for each different subnet. Can I setup this switch with multiple IP's for multiple default gateway to use in the manner in which I would like?
Correct, with the 6248 you can have all your vlans on one switch and route between them. Or you need an external router which depending on what you are doing with the vlans can decrease the performance because to get from one vlan to the next it would have to go through the router.

A hub would not work in this case.
