sorry for beeing so unspecific, we have slow transmit speed (40-50 MB/s), file acces to the R720 is through the 6248 slower than by using a direct (crossover) connection (up to 80 MB/s). This is not specific to a special host.
our cuurent config (with our lates step with channel bond (port 14,16,18,20)
we don't use iSCSI, we have FC-HBA connection from our R720 server to our MD3620f. Plus the R720 server is connected to the 6248, so will iiSCSI optimize help here ?

Hi Daniel,

Firmware is 3.2.0.7
Yesterday i allready set the MTU to 9216 (on both ports and on the Server side) still no joy and flowcontrol is now active no change in throughput.
Other ideas ?

Hi Daniel,
okay made an Firmware upgrade to 3.3.7.3, enabled iscsi.
The host is directly connect to the same switch as the server.
Sending an 11GB file from local C: to the server connected via crossover cable about 71 MB/s
Sending an 11GB file from local C: to the server connected via switch about 55 MB/s
so we have 15 MB/s difference
The question is why ? any clues ?
OS is SLES 11 SP2,
Bond mode is 802.3ad currently with 2 slaves
