Powerconnect 6248 stack can't multicast
I have a stack of Powerconnect 6248s with a number of VLANs. The switch stack itself acts as a router and routes between the VLANs.
I need multicasting on one VLAN. I don't need or want the multicasting to route out of that VLAN. On that one VLAN I have many different sources and receivers starting and stopping at random. So any kind of fixed configuration would not work. If I set the VLAN to bridge multicast forward all or bridge multicast forward unregistered then every port gets the multicast. If I set the VLAN to filter unregistered multicasts, no multicasting happens.
As I understand it, this is broadcasting, not multicasting.
I have tried turning on IGMP snooping. The sources register OK. This is a simple thing to do on a CISCO switch. It just doesn't seem to work or I can't get it to work.
I just want proper multicasting working on that one VLAN.

There's the config. I'm not sure what you want to know about the topology that you can't see from the config. 4 switch stack. 1 set of back-plane connectors are connected.

It's a single stack with one round of backplane connected.

Well it doesn't work when we test it with VLC. Some clients acting as source and some as receivers.
When I turn on forward all, the multicasts get broadcast to everyone. Even when someone is receiving the multicast. So it's just a simple broadcast.
