Powered down Dell M1000e for the first time in 14 years. Now it wont fully power on

Once plugged in all power supply's come up green no no amber lights. 2 CMCs come up green and one has a blue light. The fans spin up to max speed and they do not stop spinning at top speed until the chassis is unplugged. The KVM card does not power up (I assume it was disabled internally or is broken). There is no power to any IO cards. The front power button does not function. The front display which was used to power off the chassis is now dark. There in no Amber lights anywhere that indicate any faults. We've tried reseating everything! (Power supply's, fans, cmc cards, All blades removed, IO cards and we even pulled out the midplane and inspected for damage. No bent pins anywhere).

We Cannot log into either CMC card via ethernet or serial (Following Dells instructions using several different serial cables and teraterm)

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello,

Was anything added or remove during the maintenance? If something new was added can you try removing the component?

First things to check:

1. Ensure that the following components are properly installed and connected:

• CMC module

• iKVM module

• I/O modules

• Power supply modules

• Fan modules

• Blades

• Sleeves (with quarter-height blades)

2. Ensure that all cables are properly connected.

Reseat the LCD cable. Sometimes issues with the LCD or its cable can prevent proper power-up.

3. Ensure that all components are properly installed and free from damage

If that doesn't help; You may start with removing the KVM and both CMC. Try each CMC one at a time and in both slots. Check for good power up.
