Problem connecting 3 switches

Hi, we have in our company 3 switches: 2 Powerconnects 2724 e 1 3COM. I'm connecting them in a cascade in the following way: The 2 Powerconnects are linked together by port 24 using a straighthru cat6 cable. 1 one of the Powerconnect is then linked using port 16 with the 3COM in port 24. This works but the network is slow. When i try to ping each Dell i receive high values, 53ms, 93ms and etc followed by normal ones =1ms or even 1ms. When i ping the 3COM switch the values are allways normal ones. Does anyone have an idea about what's going on ? Any sugestions ? Thanks in advance, Carlos Vaz.

Try enabling Flow Control on all of the ports.

Thanks ! One more question: Uplink ports in this model are 23 and 24, right? So I need to connect the 3COM to one of this port? Best Regards, Carlos Vaz.

the uplink port can be any port on the switch, unless you are talking about using fiber then it is either 23 or 24.

Thanks again for you reply. Could enabling flow control bring some other problem to the network? Do I need to reset the switch? Can it be done during work hours? Best Regards, Carlos Vaz.
