S4112F-ON breakout 40Gb
I have both manually broken out eth1/1/15 and turned on autobreakout on a S4112F-on. I am trying to connect eth1/1/15 to S4048T-ON for1/49. Although the cable is recognized (Dell DAC-QSFP-40G), I can't get the switches to link. Any help is appreciated.

S4048T-ON for1/49 <-> S4112F-ON eth1/1/15:1
My understanding was that the S4112F-ON could be broken out to 40Gb. This is a 100GbE (QSFP28) port. I tried breakout "manually" to 40 Gb with:
interface breakout 1/1/15 map 40g-1x
It is currently configured with the "feature auto-breakout". Neither have provided me a link.
The cable is DAC-QSFP-40G-1M 05NP8R.

The end goal is to have them both as trunks with all vlans tagged. I have tried it both with and without vlan configured. Doesn't seem to make a difference.

Can't manually set the speed but this put me on the right path. Had to turn negotiation off on the 4112. Thanks for the help.

Just fixed the same issue with a simple #negotiation off on the S4112.
My set-up is a S4048 mode trunk with a S4112.
Hardware is a Dell DAC QSFP+ 40GBASE-CR4-0.5M
Breakout map is set at #breakout 1/1/15 map 40g-1x
Its a bit late but I hope it helps someone here...
