Hi, thank you for choosing Dell. Could you check if Network Time Protocol (NTP) is disabled?
Network Time Protocol (NTP) is a protocol used to synchronize computer clock times in a network. It belongs to and is one of the oldest parts of the TCP/IP protocol suite. The term NTP applies to both the protocol and the client-server programs that run on computers.
I have the log messages as well. A lot of "Clock changed MESSAGE=apt-daily.timer: Adding 11h 55min 39.768164s random time". I have NTP enabled and can access the NTP server. What does this mean, that the clock is adding 11h 55min etc. of time to the system clock? When I show the clock the time isn't changed..
Hi willem.wismans & BEN7 You can either ignore these false alarms (see the link: https://dell.to/3zKgsZZ It says "No action required") or try upgrading your OS to the latest version 10.5.2.7 .
Sorry to tell but this this issue is still occurring in 10.5.2.7.
not sure why you call this a false alarm, it looks like a warning only, that you can choose to ignore and for that reason the link you gave says "No action required."
