S4820T configuration

Question

Hi , Will you be able to provide me a basic switch configuration for dell force10 S4820T configuration. I wanted to have a separate VLAN for management purpose with Cisco switches (Example management will be done via VLAN 12 with rest of the Cisco switches). Rest of the VLAN like 20, 21 ,22, are for access VLANs with cisco switch. Uplink the dell switch with Ten 1/48 with cisco switch . Configure the 0/1 to 0/47 ports with speed 10g for dell servers. Only CLI mode with telnet required. What about the VTP mode scenario in dell with Cisco ? mode an domain. Current cisco has transparent, client and server environment …. If I connect this dell switch to cisco network what would be the configuration compatible . with cisco to match or it does not need any VTP related configuration in place?. How do I shut down the default VLN 1 with no ip address in dell. thanks in advance net-info

Hi Thanks for your prompt reply and the information. Would it possible to give text base (ex running config type output ) since I am not that much perfect with exact configuration and need to add the switch in to live system. spanning-tree link-type point-to-point on uplink port on the dell switch to cisco. VTP in transparent mode. Thanks Net-info

Ok, Will you be able to give me the below commands. 1. Change the dell switch VTP mode to transparent. 2. Interface vlan 1 to be shutdown with no ip assigned. 3.Add default gateway to the management vlan 12. I will get back to you for the rest of the config as per the requirements thanks net-info
