Servers with VLTi switch domain

Hi,

I have some doubts regarding DELL Force10 VLT.

I have two S4810 switches that I will configure with VLTi domain.

If I configure a VLTi domain between these two S4810 switches and connect one server with dual 10GB port (each port on each VLT member) without a VLT port-channel, this config will be supported without a VLT port-channel?

Also, regarding VLAN configuration, I have to replicate each VLAN port tagging that I create on each VLT peer switch or VLAN configuration will be replicated into the peer VLT member automatically?

Example: If I create a VLAN-15 on switch1, will I need to do the same commands to create the vlan 15 on switch2 or will it be automatically created by VLTi Domain ? I'm asking this because when entering on VLAN config, I can't see a way to tag a interface number from switch2 on a VLAN created on switch1.

Thanks for the config example..

But regarding my question, in order to connect a DEVICE to a VLT peer switch without VLT-port channel is possible? VLAN tag is also possible for this config without VLT-PortChannel config.

Or even using the server with a "Independent switch" TEAMING interface (windows) is necessary to create a VLT port-channel on switch side in order to VLAN trunk over VLTi work? or just connect each network cable from server on each switch and create the VLANs is fine?

Hello,

I looked into this and ran my findings passed a colleague in our networking team. You'll need to configure both switches. If you need help with that, there's an article that should be of some value.
