SNMP monitoring of optical parameter thresholds in OS9?
Hi everyone:
For some time now, I have been working on obtaining the optical parameters of SFP/SFP+ on a Dell S4048-ON switch with OS9 version 9.14(2.16) through SNMP queries, in order to graph them in tools such as MRTG or CACTI.
I have been able to find and graph OIDs for parameters such as "Tx/Rx power", "Temperature", and "Voltage" in the ”dellNetIfTransceiverDataTable" module (OID: 1.3.6.1.1.4.1.6027.3.11.1.3. 1) of the “DELL-NETWORKING-IF-EXTENSION-MIB” MIB.
However, I have not been able to find the OIDs for the warning/(critical thresholds for these parameters.
Do you know which MIB/OID can be used to obtain these thresholds?

Hi,
I tried my best to find any related OID from the MIB files that were ready to download. My system does not allow MIB browser to be installed hence I have been looking around for my related cases.
However, no SNMP OIDs for these threshold values are indicated in the Dell MIB documentation or manuals. That suggests these thresholds are not exposed via SNMP on OS9 platforms like your S4048‑ON.
