Special settings when installing second Powerconnect 6248 switch?

Good day guys

 

I have already installed my first 6248 switch on the network in the server room. This is a stand alone unit

Recently I have also purchased a second 6248 switch to be implemented onto my network. But these 2 switches will only be connected via fibre converters and a fibre line

So no stacking is being done

 

Are there any specific settings that I must check to ensure that they both operate fine on the same network without "conflicts" or stuff like that?

For instance i need to give the second PC6248 a different IP address from the existing one?

 

Any other features that needs to be set in order to prevent "disaster" :)
