SSH on 3424 & 5324

Question

I have been trying to enable ssh on our PowerConnects without success, I have 4 3424 and 2 5324. We are using Putty to connect. Any ideas?

Take a look at this whitepaper: http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/products/pwcnt/en/app_note_14.pdf   It is about management access control for the 33xx but the same configuration for SSH should work on 53xx and 34xx switches.   Cuong.

I have tried this the only thing it did for me was lock me out of all access, I had to use the console cable to remove the ACL. Any other ideas?

I think I know what the problem is.  On the CLI console do a 'show ip ssh' and check to see if the ssh server is enabled?  If not then that's your problem.  Also make sure that the RSA or DSA keys were generated.  If not then you will also need to generate the keys first before it will work (I think there was a key generated by default).   Cuong.
