Stack keeps rebooting - Powerconnect 6224

We have 7 powerconnect 6224 switches, each with a 10g stacking module in the back.

We have powered on the first, set it up, then added the other 6 one at a time, all is well untill about 5 mins after adding the last switch and the stack just splits, we end up with at least 2 different master switches, we can't ping the main one we are connected to and the console dies. They then randomly reboot.

Anyone got any ideas of what to try?

We checked the show stack-port which appeared normal.

At a loss with this lot, any ideas would be great else its back to netgear tomorrow :(

which software version are you using? I think we had something similar and we had to change this

switch 1 priority 12
switch 8 priority 1

But this was resolved in current OS, I think.

Cheers for the reply.

Its running version 2 point something, so we are going to flash to v3 and see if that helps.

Looks fixed now.

We have upgraded the firmware to V3.2 and created the stack from that, all working fine so far today. So that looks like the fix
