Stacking 2x 6224 - Stacking and 10GE CX4 modules & in each switch
So I recently acquired 2 PowerConnect 6224 switches for a new VMware environment being built. Each switch has a Stacking module and a 10GE CX4 module. There likely won't be any future PowerConnect switches involved in this environment - these PowerConnect switches will be utilized for VMware/iSCSI communication and LAG'd to a Netgear GS748tp (corporate LAN switch).
I'm trying to figure out the proper/best way to connect the switches together - using either the Stacking module ports or the 10GE CX4 modules or would there be any benefit to using both? I'm not sure I fully understand the difference between these modules?
Also, when choosing either/or method above, I'm assuming I would need both cables (regardless of method chosen Stacking or CX4)?
Switch 1 XG1 -> Switch 2 XG1
Switch 1 XG2 -> Switch 2 XG2

Thanks Daniel I have read through that guide and it was still unclear as the pictures show more than 2 switches in the examples. Plus I couldn't grasp the main difference between the stacking modules vs the 10GE modules. Would there be any benefit or reason not to use two cables? Or use one cable for the stacking module and one cable for the 10GE module as that would give me two active paths in case like you said, one cable or one interface were to go down the switches would still be in communication?
