Switch Issue/Power Loss
A bit of background information first to explain the situation: We have 4 buildings all within a few hundred yards of each other. The switches not communicating are our camera switches which are off a DMZ on a .192.168.124.xxx network. In building 1, our admin center and where our data center is located all cameras are working, however, the cameras in buildings 2-4 are not. There is a link between building 1's switch (Dell Power Connect 3524p) going out to the other camera switches, also Dell Power Connect 3524p switches, however since losing power over the weekend, these are not communicating with our main switch in building one, and all cameras surrounding the perimeter of buildings 2-4 are not working.
Here are the troubleshooting steps I have performed to try and resolve this with no luck, but another question I have is, could these switch ports (Link ports) have been ruined due to the power outage? They are plugged into UPS that provides surge protection, but I am just not sure the power issue did not cause the problem. It is the one common denominator.
Steps performed:
1. Rebooted each switch in each building
2. disconnected Ethernet cable and reconnected for each port that has a camera plugged in (41 total between all buildings)
3. consoled into the switch and ensured IP Address is set which it is on the 124 network
4. Tried a different Cat 5 cable to see if it is/was a cable issue
At this point, I am at a loss, and we have no perimeter security with cams on 3 of our 4 buildings, so any help is greatly, and I mean greatly, appreciated, thank you.

did you run
Switch# show power inline version on the switches, just to make sure the ports are injecting power.

Houstoniaman,
I went to the switch and performed the command, and I have attached the results in a screen shot.
The Rotate Did not Work, but you can rotate it to see.

If you swap a camera that isn’t working with one that is, does the issue follow the port or the camera?

Hi Josh,
I resolved this issue myself, I just moved one of other building cables over and it started working. This can be closed.
