Switch N3024 - Vlan state down

Hello, I have two switches. Each one is in a different office joined by fiber. The schema is : N3024 Site 1 Port1 Vlan2 -- Fiber conversor - Fiber cable - Fiber conversor - N3024 Site 2 Port1 Vlan2 The fiber conversor is a Trendnet (ethernet-fiber 1Gb) I have created VLAN2 in both switches, in port 1. When I connect both ends : The port and the VLAN in the switch of Site 1 are UP. The port in the switch of Site 2 is UP : Operational Port Status Link Up Operational Port Speed 1000 Mbps but the VLAN2 in this port, is down ! Vlan1 Up 10.244.8.50 255.255.255.0 Manual Vlan2 Down 10.244.253.21 255.255.255.252 Manual If I connect port 1 to another local switch, the port become up immediately. I thought the problem was between the Dell switch and Trendnet in site 2, but in the other site (site 1), is the same situation and it work ! Thanks for your help !

Hello Josh.

I tried to find the command to execute "no shutdown", but I couldn´t do it.

In the menu, I have the following options:

console(config-if-vlan2)#?

bandwidth Configure Bandwidth.
do Run Privileged Exec mode commands.
encapsulation Configure interface link layer encapsulation type.
exit To exit from the mode.
interface Configure an interface.
ip Configure IP routing and host protocols.
ipv6 Configure IPv6 routing and host protocols.
mac Configure MAC Access List group parameters.
macro Apply a macro to the interface.
show Show configured settings and operational status.
vrrp Configure Virtual Router Redundancy Protocol parameters.

Could you help me to find the command in this model ?

Thanks!

The port was assigned to vlan, and the vlan have an IP.

It is strange, because the other switch is exactly the same model and configuration, and it work perfect.

Ok, looks like shutdown only works on the interface and not the vlan. Are there interfaces assigned to the VLAN and is there an ip address assigned to the vlan?

Do you have a local device you can test with instead of between sites? You may want to try deleting the VLAN and creating it again. Is the switch firmware up to date?

I have tested with a laptop and the fiber link is ok.

I have deleted the VLAN and have created again but the problem persists.

Why is the port UP and why is the VLAN down ? What can I do ?

On Monday, I am going to try to exchange the switches between the sites, because in the other site, all links are UP, and the switches are the same

Hello.

I upgrated both switches to last firmware ( 6.5.2.5 ), however, the problem persisted (The Vlan in the site 1 is UP, and the VLan in the site 2 is down).

Then, I exchanged the switches beteween sites,

Now, the Vlan in the site 1 is down, and the vlan in site 2 y UP. I thought that the problem is the configuration. I have reseted to factory default and I configurated it again. But was unsuccessful :(

This is the switch with the issue :
