To stack or not stack.
Good day everyone,
We are planning to implement N2024 to replace an old PC6224 as core servers switch, we have 2 units of the N2024.
Would be good a idea to stack both N2024 or is better to have them separate. I've read on some post once you have the stack the firmware upgrade requires both swtiches down.
Thanks in advance

You are correct, when stacking both switch behave as one logical unit. This means that when you perform firmware upgrades, you will need to schedule some downtime.
Another option would be to use MLAG. However MLAG does not support single homed devices. This means that every device connecting to the switch will need to have a LAG.
Here are some resources to help learn more about each feature.

Found a KB article on stacking that may be helpful.

thanks Daniel, stacking seems pretty easy. I'll do some testing prior to put them on productive.
