You can try to do it from boot menu.

enter the boot menu, enter number 30, the password is "pc62xxkinnick", choose

15 - Devshell command interface

enter command

creat('image2', 2)

then choose

17 - Download a file through XMODEM

enter the name image2 and confirm file overwriting. then choose

0  - Return to main menu

and choose

7  - Update boot code

should works

I assume you are wanting to upgrade to firmware 3.3.1.10.  I'm not sure I see any special condition for concern from your post.  Just be sure if upgrading from version 2.x.x.x firmware to 3.3.1.10, to follow the procedure in PC6200UpgradeSoftwareFromVersion2.x.xProcedure.pdf file included in the 3.3.1.10 zip file.

Your switch has two areas (image1 and image2) to store two firmwares.  This allows it to fall back easily to the previous image if needed.  It simply looks like your image2 has never had a firmware copied to it.  By default, when a new firmware is copied to the switch, it will always copy it to the inactive image.  In this case it would copy it to IMAGE2 (preferrably using "copy tftp").  Once in Image2 area, just activate image2 ("boot system image2" command).  Follow the instructions to update bootcode if required. As always be sure to fully read all instructions and the release notes before upgrading.

After the upgrade is complete, you will still have 2.0.0.12 as image1 (inactive) and the new firmware will be image2 (active).  Hope this helps.
