I am having a problem connecting to my Netgear Wireless router with My 1370 wlan pci . i can only connect when i disable my WEP security on router .

  1. is it safe to have my WEP disabled ?

If you disable your WEP then it is relatively easy for anyone to attach to your network.

You need to configure your WLAN 1370 to use WEP (easy to do with the Dell wireless utility) and make sure you enter your WEP key correctly. That should be all that is required.

I have a Netgear wgu624 router and my 1370 is exhibiting the same problems with wep on. With wep off i still exhibit the same problems...  Dells wireless utitlity  which is green sees my router  ...I enter the key then click connect, the screen disappears and the utility strenth bar on the bottom right hand corner is green but my network icon still has an x through it. and i  cannot connect to the internet.  Mind you i can see my router..and other networks in my neighborhood. My signal strength is excellent
