700M WiFi turns off by itself.
I have a 700M w/Intel 2200b/g wifi. When I'm working, sometimes, I won't be able to connect to the web and then when I look down, I see the Wifi light has gone off on its own. Then, I have to turn it off, then back on and wait till it connects again.
Does this happen to anyone else?

Have you set the power management options on the wireless network card to their full settings and disabled the ability of the card to turn itself off to save power?

My wifi light turned off on its own but I'm definitely still connected because my previous post went through just fine.
Strange!

What's weird though is that the wifi light is off right at this moment as I'm typing this but I'm still connected to the web, as it shows in my systray networking icon.
I've just noticed this buggy behavior. Anyone else having this problem w/Dell + Intel 2200b/g combo?

If you look through this forum, you will find hundreds of messages (and solutions) concerning the buggy drivers for the Intel wireless cards. Spend some time reading these previous messages. Perhaps you might even consider doing an Advanced Search using the terms - Intel 2200.
