Take a look at this thread it should help with this, but if it does not, please Private Message me your Service Tag. I am hoping either force activating as mentioned at the bottom of page one or a slightly different driver will correct this.

Os is windows 8.1 pro 64 bit
When I install dell wirless 1704 WiFi + Bluetooth driver network_driver _57tf3_win_6.30.233.245_A01.exe
It shows "activate Bluetooth using wireless switch" on dell inspiron 3542
Dell wirless 1705 Bluetooth hardware ID "USB\VID_0CF3&PID_0036&REV_0001
USB\VID_0CF3&PID_0036"
How to resolve this problem.

Have you taken a look at the drivers located here and tried the Airplane Switch one? Also what OS is this on?
