Additional Linksys To Expand Signal Range
I currently have an Inspiron 8250 configured with a True Mobile running wireless internet through a Lynksys router. The range is limited to the first 2 floors of my home. I was advised that if I hook up a WAP11 to a CAT5 entry point on an upper floor, the lap top will respond to this signal for internet access when out of range of the Lynksys on the lower floor. Is this correct? I am most concerned that the True Mobile can respond to each router. Thank you.

yes, as long as the SSID of the two APs are the same, and the AP is connected to the internet somehow, it will work fine.
Specify the same WEP key, and everything else the same as well. If the coverage areas of the 2 devices overlap. windows will seamlessly switch from one to the other automatically.
Dell once planned to come out with an 8250, but it never appeared. Was your post a typo or do you have some sort of secret model?
