After reinstalling Windows, you first need to install the chipset drivers.  This must be done before you attempt to install any other drivers.   Once the chipset drivers are installed, you need to install the drivers for your network adapter, video adapter, sound card, modem, and anything else that you have on your system.  If you did not get a resource CD or a drivers and utilities CD with your computer, you will have to download the drivers from the following site and burn them to CD so that you can take them to and install them on your XPS 600.

Unfortunately, Dell's support site doesn't have explicit instructions about installing the drivers from the resource CD.  The last time I did it I just inserted the Resource CD while Windows was running, it loaded and I was able to select the drivers I wanted installed.   Try that and let me know if it works.  Dell has been very inconsistent about whether or not they ships CDs with computers and so lately I have been directing people to the Dell download site to download the drivers and then install them.  Since you have the Resource CD, you might want to try that way first.  If you can't get it to work, I'll direct you to the download site.   Make sure you have a copy of your invoice handy so that you can tell me which options you ordered with the computer so that I can direct you to the correct drivers.
