Am unable to access any webinars

This may be a very simplsitic question with a simple solution but it is frustrating. I am unable to access or participate in any on line seminars/webinars with a dial up connection on my Inspirion2650.

I am running Windows XP Home Edition, my dial up connections have consistently been 49 to 52 kbps - WorldnetATT  , am running Symantec Security and Virus package, and do NOT have a home network so I have not used the XP network wizard. I have downloaded webinar access software from several hosts as they instructed and it seems to test okay but have never been able to make a connection to any of the webinars.

Any assistance or guidance is appreciated to resolve this issue. Thanks. Ed
