Are there Dell employees on these forums?

Hi,

Just wondering...I see a number of posts on this networking forum with no responses. So I am trying to figure out what kind of help to expect here.  Are there just volunteers offering help to posters, or does Dell actually staff the forums to help Dell customers?

Thanks
adam

This is predominantly a user to user forum.  Dell moderator's sometime help, but are not required to as the purpose of this forum is users helping other users.  I fail to see that there are numerous posts with no responses.  If there are, they are probably relatively recent posts where we have not yet had time to deal with the problem.   Sometimes no immediate solution is evident and we have to think about the problem somewhat before sending the poster off on a wild goose chase.  If you have a problem, post it.  What have you got to lose?  All advice is given for free.

Thank you for the information.  The reason I asked was because certainly a different expectation of help in a volunteer, peer to peer environment than dell staffed.  I did see more than three responses..less than 10 that were unanswered yesterday, and yes they were recent, one of which was a question I asked, which is still unanswered.  Don't want to add pressure to anyone, I am sure everyone is working hard.  Maybe I could simplifiy my question?  I just need to know if Dell Truemobile 2300 router has ethernet ports on it?  If you don't know the answer, could you just point me to a website I can find it on?

Thanks...  :-)

There are a few posts that go unanswered, but normally they are either unusual issues or issues on the bounds of legality. More unusual than illegal. As with any tech issue that's weird, an answer is not readily available

As for direct help from Dell employees here, as Volcano said, there are a few mods here, but they are more here to keep the peace and offer occasional assistance on select issues. As stated in the EULA for the forums, any non-moderator Dell employees cannot identify themselves, nor can they offer their direct assistance here as a Dell employee.

This forums is strictly peer-to-peer support, and if you need help from Dell, you can check out the FAQ at the top of the page to find options for contacting them.
