aveInternet Pictures not popping up

I have a dimension 2400, and comcast cable internet services.  My internet runs great and downloads at a great speed of an average of 427KB/s.  The problem arises when my girlfriend logs into "The Facebook", which is some type fo friends network. The same happens when i visit and search ebay as well. To get to the point, when she goes on and there after pictures begin ot stop appearing, and this goes for every website after the facebook is accessed.  It annoys the stuff outta me to have to restart IE every time i want ot see the pictures a website has to offer after she or i has visited this website.  This wesite makes the computer download hundreds, and i do literally mean an average of 200 ,jpg and .gif formatted picture on one page in a list styled format.  What settings should i tweak to get this IE to stop jamming up after i have visited this particular site.

 

Ps:  I have allowed all ActiveX controls to download and install so that "the page displays correctly!" Coul this be the problem???  Thanks to all
