Belkin N Problems

Question

This morning, my mom bought a new Belkin Wireless N Router to replace the old G model on our network. We have 4 PCs on said network, two XP laptops, one Vista laptop, and one XP desktop. We installed the router AND the adapter for the desktop that I am using. So everything was good and dandy with the network for the time being. The problem is, the desktop (the one using the wireless-n adapter) keeps losing the internet connection. I'm still connected to the network with great speed and signal (270.0 mbps, excellent strength) and every single other PC can access the internet, just not this one. Any suggestions as to why this is happening and how to fix this?

BTW, I'm only 13 years old, so don't kill me if I said something wrong.

Whihc OS are you running?  What was wrong with the G router?

I'm running the XP OS. We moved the desktop into another part of the house a little while ago and upgraded from G because the signals were usually 12.0-low.

Check the router and card setup to make sure you have the correct encryption settings, and also make sure the desktop is away form anything that could cause inteference.

Thank you very much for helping me out with my issue. For some reason, I havent lost connection at all for over 16 hours now (it might have to do with deleting the google desktop) and it still works great.
