best driver for TM1300 mPCI?

Question

i just recently update my TM1300 mPCI driver to version A03. after playing with it and attempting to transfer 1+gb worth of files I noticed it seemed to perform worst than the previous driver and the connection dropped when the router was involved (i think the linksys g router i have is freakin out when a huge file is involved, peer-to-peer transfer was just fine.). i rolled back the driver to the previous version but the performance hasn't gone back to the way it was. i usually had about 40% utillization, according to task manager, when transfering files before but now i only have about 20% utillization, so what gives? between the two drivers avalible which is the better one?

yea, i had the most up to date driver, but i wanted to know what driver others are using and which driver people have had the best connection with.

I have the TM1300 MPCI on my I8200. I tried the latest driver and returned to the previous one. However, I didn't do a roll back, but a reinstall of the driver only through Device Manager. In doing this, I managed to retain the latest Dell utility and this combination seems to work well for me. The best driver is the one that works best for your setup. In other words, your mileage may vary.

hmm, i don't have the dell utillity installed either. i guess i'll have to do more pluging and praying. lol

Im having a very similar problem. I used to get good/very good connection to my D-link DI-624 router, from my room, at usually 54/48mbps. Now I can only get low/very low at 1mbps. I uninstalled the utility and drivers, reinstalled the old ones, and now I get the same thing (I even managed to get the old utility back eventually but STILL problems). I've even gone so far as to delete the driver files from C:\Windows\System32\Drivers (BCMsomethin or other.sys) and manually installed the A06 release, and yet it still happens.   What bugs me the most is no matter what I do, in the device manager properties for the card, on the advanced tab, there is no longer a 'Antenna Diversity' option and now there's a 'Xpress (TM) Technology' option. It's been this way since the latest drivers and even forcing the old drivers on doesn't bring back the old settings. !

I have TM 1300 on a Ins 5100. The connection goes up and down all the time regardless of the drivers installed from DELL for a year. I have updated the OS to XP sp2 10 days ago. The problem went away. Now the connection is rock solid. Worth a try. Good Luck!
