Blue screen error RE: broadcom wireless

I have a Dell B130 laptop running Xp 86 bit, SP3. Linksys E900 wireless router, Cox Hi Speed Internet with Phone modem(Cox Phone Service.)

When having wireless speed and strength issues, checking about everything else, I decided to check for driver update, (although slim drivers program did show I needed to), I mistakenly used windows to update driver.

Immediately, wireless connection was at it's max for my connection speed.

Then, after rebooting, I get the Blue screen error-- bcwl or bcmwl or such.

How do I now get booted to check Broadcom or Dell for driver download?

Can I do this from the Dell System/Drivers CD that came with laptop?

If so, how do I do that?

Would I be better off to completely uninstall all drivers and re-install?

If so how do I do that.

Sorry this is so wordy, but trying to be thorough.

Hi Cjcougar,

You should try to boot the computer to the Safe Mode and then attempt to uninstall the wireless drivers. See the below mentioned article for easy steps on how to uninstall the driver from Device Manager in Safe Mode:

How To Easily Remove Old Drivers from Windows

Once you have uninstalled the drivers in the Safe Mode, boot to the Normal Mode and then install the drivers from here.

You might find the below mentioned video useful:

Downloading and Installing Windows 7 Drivers in the Correct Order (the steps shown in the video applies for Windows XP as well).

Hope this helps.
