Bluetooth and XP service pack 2 problems
Dell Bluetooth software will not run on my Latitude D600 after installing XP SP2. I obviously tried everything mentioned in this forum:
- Microsoft BT-stack definately runs
- I installed Dell Bluetooth software A05
- Changed BT-driver in device manager successfully
- "Dell TrueMobile 300 Bluetooth Module" now is marked ready with WIDCOMM driver ver. 3.0.1.804
-FN+F2 allows switching it off and on again
- Dell bluetooth software always says "no bluetooth device available", BT-symbol in system tray is red/blue
- deinstalling software and driver makes Microsoft BT work again after reboot
Any idea?
thanks,
Jochen

I have the Microsoft driver and Dell Versions:
3.0.1.803 [08/04/2004]
3.0.1.804 [26/04/2004]
I only downloaded the latest driver from Dell. When I first ran the install, I only had two in the list. Then, I uninstalled completely, rebooted and ran setup again. Finally, I updated driver where I found three listings. I am sure that when I had two in the list, the latest version was showing in Device Manager. I have tried all three drivers, followed by usin Fn+F2 to disable and reenable the bluetooth. It finally came on but I do wonder how I managed to get the third driver? Seems like an uninstall, give it a kick and throw it out the window, dust off and re-install seems to help.
Hope it helps.
