Bluetooth driver seem not working for windows 8.1 version

i am using window 8.1 in my laptop dell inspiron 15 3542 i have installed driver of Bluetooth but bluetooth is showing but no searching any device pleas help 

Also need help:  Trying to install a wireless headset.   It pairs but will not connect and shows greyed bars and a red X on signal strength.  New headset so never tried with Win 8 but headset pairs and works fine with i-phone.

Have Dell Inspiron 15-3521.  Checked Hardware Manager and under Sound, Video, and Game Controllers section, subsection Bluetooth audio device shows an yellow triangle with exclamation point. Under properties for this device Description is:  Qualcomm Atheros Communications and Device Status is "This device cannot start. (Code 10)  Object Path Component was not a directory object."

Tried updating (latest version message), uninstalling and reinstalling.  Driver version=8.0.0.218

Went to Dell website entered service code (<ADMIN NOTE: Service tag removed per privacy policy>) and received an update recommendation of Network file update of Dell Wireless 1703/1705 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver :Version 10.0.0.260,A01

Downloaded twice and tried to install 4 times.  Installation stopped received an "Installation can not run on this platform".

Checked wife's PC with is identical except about four months younger, Under Hardware Manager' sound, etc, Bluetooth audio device is not flagged and is also a Qualcomm Atheros Communications but the Driver Status is "Functioning" and under properties the driver is Version 8.0.1.314.  Could not find a clean (no malware) version of this on the dell site or online.  

Do I have the right approach with the 8.0.1.314 driver and can you refer me to a clean download of this driver?

Would be nice to know what FOLDER and PATH you found this .exe file.

Do you mean the Dell Wireless 1703/1705 WiFi + Bluetooth Driver :Version 10.0.0.260,A01?  I found that in the Dell Support web site, did a scan computer for updates and under Networking tab found the 10.0.0.26.A1 as a recommended update.  Downloaded twice and tried to install 4 times with the same "not for this platform" error message.  If this is not the exe fire you are referring to  I need additional description on your question.

No. I'm using Windows 8.1 pro. When i connected mobile phone (Lumia 720) with Laptop by Bluetooth then it shown connected, but with in a minute the connection was disconnected. Please help me....

Firstly, try to run the .exe file under bluetooth folder, if that doesn't seems to work go to the website of dell and search for a compatible driver suit for your inspiron 3521.

alternatively, you can use Driver genius which automatically updates outdated drivers to latest drivers without giving any effort. Hope this will help you.
