bluetooth & infrared problem on inspiron 510m
Hi, I got a dell inspiron 510m a week ago. the seller installed Windows XP(Home edition) and I checked the bluetooth there and everything was fine. I installed Windows XP Professional (Service Pack2) .Now the bluetooth doen't work (it appears in device manager list); and also infrared is not listed in device manager!
any help is appreciated!

You may need to reinstall the bluetooth - if you do not have the software, go into your add/remove programs and troubleshoot from there

tha infrared was disabled in setup; so the problem resolved; BUT the bluetooth still has problem .
I deleted the entry (that mentioned in microsoft site for SP2) in Registry and then Uninstalled the bluetooth(device manager) and reinstalled ; but the bluetooth device doesn't work!
do I need any CDs or drivers to use the bluetooth?(the seller didn't give me any CD)
I need bluetooth urgently!

OK - go to start, then see if the bluetooth is on the all programs menu. If so, there is a bluetooth settings and user guide on the tab. These should help you troubleshoot what is going on with the bluetooth.
Let me know if this fixes the problem - if not, will try something else!
