Bluetooth not working Windows 10 (Error code 43) Help!!

Windows XPS 9350 with Windows 10. Cant toggle my blueooth on/off as there is no toggle and i need to use my bluetooth mouse. When I go to device manager my bluetooth driver has an error icon and displays this message: "Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"

I had this problem about a month ago and i simply uninstalled the driver, rebooted the computer, and all was well. Today my computer rebooted for an update and when it restarted, I'm back at square one with the bluetooth problem only this time my previous solve doesn't work.

I've checked for a driver update but the computer says it has the latest version of the bluetooth driver.

Help!

Sorcen,

You can also click here to update the bios and the Intel chipset drivers.

long back, I had the same problem, and, in some forum, there was a person who mentioned that a motherboard reset( dont remember the exact term) solved it for him, i tried the same and my bluetooth was fixed too. the steps were, 1) shutdown, remove the charger cable 2) while turning ON, press and hold the power button for around 10-12 seconds. That fixed the bluetooth issue for me.

I have exactly the same problem.

How can I solve it?

Well, actually my problem is a bit wider.

First I could not connect my wireless mouse through USB dongle to the USB 3 port. I got a message that USB device (i.e. mouse) is not recognozed - (Error code 43).

After that I tried to plug in my phone through the USB dongle to the USB 3 port. Again, phone was not recognized.

At the same time, external harddrive connected through the same mode is recognized.

Yesterday, I tried a solution outlined here (https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/Fix-for-Unknown-USB-Device-Device-Descriptor-Request-Failed/td-p/5973953). And it worked for several hours. However, after another computer restart, the problem reappeared.

The problem is with some software. But Dell Support cannot help me figure out which software is it.

Hopefully, you've made it work. I found this to work for me:

While all my drivers and everything else was up-to-date, my device manager was still showing error code 43. I downloaded this from the Dell support page (not sure if this is universal, but visit your support page to customize to your device).

Dell Update Application for Windows 10
Application 04 Aug 2020

After installing it, it repaired all my drivers & files, and it is now working.

Does the OP still have this problem? My problem is EXACTLY the same. However, I didn't SIMPLY uninstall the driver and reboot. It took me a long time to find that solution. This time, it was the first thing that I tried and I was really surprised that it didn't work.

I ran out of time on editing my message just before I finished. I wanted to add these details.

I have a Dell Precision 5530. The Bluetooth adapter is a Qualcomm QCA6174A. The driver is provided by Qualcomm with a driver date of 2018-06-24 and driver version of 10.0.0.714. I'm running Windows 10 in a 64-bit system with an Intel Core i9-8950HK CPU @ 2.9GHz x2 with 32 GB RAM.

Jesse,

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, I've already tried all of those things multiple times.

Sorcen,

In Device Manager did you right-click on the Bluetooth device and choose to enable the device?

Sorcen,

Press Windows key + R
Type: services.msc
Hit Enter
Scroll down to Bluetooth Support Service
Right-click it
Click Properties
Under the General tab
Click in the Startup type: list box
Choose Automatic
Click Start

Click Apply then OK

Restart your computer then check if it's working.

Other things you can try include the Bluetooth troubleshooter.

Open Start > Settings > Update & security > Troubleshoot
Scroll down to Bluetooth
Click Bluetooth then click Run the troubleshooter

When complete, Restart your computer.

Press Windows key + X
Click Device Manager
Expand Bluetooth
Right-click each entry then click Properties
Select the driver tab, click Rollback if it's not grayed out.

If it is grayed out, right-click Bluetooth driver then click uninstall
Restart your computer then check if it's working again.

@DELL-Jesse L, I didn't think that I needed a firmware upgrade. Dell Command Update was telling me that I was updated and the website you linked also didn't recommend any updates. However, I did the firmware upgrade from the 19th of August (two days ago) and that fixed the problem. My bluetooth is working now.

Yes, I did. One of the sets of instructions for doing this recommended disabling the device, starting the service and then enabling it. I just did it again, just in case. The service was already running, so I disabled the bluetooth, stopped the service, started it again, then enabled the bluetooth. The device manager didn't show the error in the bluetooth, but it also wasn't possible to turn it on and test it, so I reboot my computer. Now, the device manager is again showing the error.

Hello,

I'm having the same problem, I have a Latitude 3400 windows 10 64 bit.
My bluetooth simply stopped working, I have already made all the solutions proposed by the microsoft website,
as well as installing the drivers that are on the dell website in the support section, it is still getting the error cod 43.
I did the procedures that were put in this discussion and also nothing. I don't know what else to do, it just doesn't work.
Any idea ?

tks.

You can buy an external transmitter. If I hadn't gotten mine to work, I would have bought this:
