Broadcom 1450 & DLink dwl-2000AP+
I cannot connect through my DLink dwl-2000AP+ to my Dlink dsl-G604t router.
If my Inspiron 1150 with Broadcom 1450 dual band mini pci card is close to the wireless router DSL-G604T everything works fine. However if the laptop is moved within range of the Access Point DWL-2000AP+ I cannot access through this to the router. I have full signal from the access point and 2 desktop pc's with dlink cards work fine through the access point. The AP is set up as a repeater as recommended by dlink staff.
I have tried tech support and a technician has even visited with no success.
Any suggestions ????

John,
Checked the 2000AP+, It does not have 4x Mode.
Only has 8X mode & that is disabled.
BTW I have just tried a netgear WG511T on another laptop and it works fine.
The Broadcom ( Dell ) still does not.
Any other suggestions

Yeah they both have the latest drivers & firmware.
The funny thing is I tried the netgear card on the Dell and it didnt work.
And yet it works fine on my other Toshiba notebook.
Both are running xp pro
got me baffled.
something on the Dell stoppping it from talking through the repeater to the router.
