Log into the 2000+ and disable the 4x support.

John,

Checked the 2000AP+, It does not have 4x Mode.

Only has 8X mode & that is disabled.

BTW I have just tried a netgear WG511T on another laptop and it works fine.

The Broadcom ( Dell ) still does not.

Any other suggestions

The only other suggestion we always give is to make sure you have the latest driver and the 2000+ has the latest firmware.

Yeah they both have the latest drivers & firmware.

The funny thing is I tried the netgear card on the Dell and it didnt work.

And yet it works fine on my other Toshiba notebook.

Both are running xp pro

got me baffled.

something on the Dell stoppping it from talking through the repeater to the router.

I have the TM 1450 and the DWL-7100AP ( connected to a Linksys router). I'm not using as a repeater though. I have no problems connecting to either 11a, or 11b/g.
