Browsers and Links not working

I have a Dell XPS 8910 with Windows 10, that has developed a problem. I am having difficulty getting Edge or Google Chrome to open. If I reboot then I can open these browsers for a short time. Often any link within these browsers do not open. Google Chrome is my default browser, however even when I change Edge to the default the problem still persists. This computer is updated and when the virus and malware scans are run no infections show. There were some other updates, I believe to the NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX driver, and I cannot recall that any new programs have been added. Where do I start to troubleshoot this issue?
