BT Voyager 100 Modem

I'm trying to move my BT Broadband USB ADSL external  modem broadband service from my old Gateway PC (Windows 98 SE and it worked fine there) to my new Dell 8400

 

The first part of the install works OK. When the PC is rebooted for the second part I get an error message saying the install program BTSYSC~2.EXE has encountered an error. I then get another message to say the Dell 8400 does not have sufficient capacity, as it only has 33mb memory free and is running Windows 3.1 (!)

 

New Dell has XP Professional SP 2. I have disabled Norton AV & Firewall and also Windows Firewall

 

BT CD-Rom is V4.00 Index L002

 

Anyone out there had a similar problem?
