Buying new dell need Wireless info

Question

I am shopping for a new laptop, either 600m,9300 or 6000 and I have no idea which wireless modem I should select. I have used a 600 m with the Intel pro and it seemed to work well but I could never get manual settings to work. I am asking these questions to find out which one I should get, the choices are:

Dell® Wireless 1350 Internal Wireless (802.11b/g, 54Mbps)
Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200 Internal Wireless (802.11 b/g, 54Mbps)
Dell® Wireless 1450 Internal Wireless (802.11a/b/g, 54Mbps) [add $14]
Intel® PRO/Wireless 2915 Internal Wireless (802.11 a/b/g, 54Mbps) [add $21]

Which one do you have?
Which one do you recomend?
Which ones have you seen with the least problems?
Which ones have you seen with the most problems?
Which drivers are better?

I have a netgear g wireless now and hopefully it will be a cinch to configure.

I have the Inspiron xps with the Dell® Wireless 1350 Internal Wireless (802.11b/g, 54Mbps), I use the the Netgear G model WGT624 v2, I have no problems at all in Windows XP, I have a dual boot setup and I'm having a problem getting it to work in Linux.

I'm not saying it's the best choice, because I bought it refurbished and didn't have a selection. all I can say is it works :)

I have the same dell wireless 1350 in 2 laptops and they work like a charm. Im using also a Linksys wrt54g router.

I've read some reviews that the dell ones (1350,1450) reach farther than the intel ones. So i would recommend buying the 1350 or the 1450 if you use the A band at 5 ghz (I'm fine since i just use the G band).

I have the 9200 model. No problem hitting the Free Hot Spots!:womanvery-happy: I love my model. I pick up @ least 4 connections just sitting @ my desk @ work! I just love it!

Well yes..unless you find some free hot spots or steal the internet from a neighbour that has a wireless router

wow thanks for the advice. looks like i will be not getting the intel/PRO. and of course UNLIKE some of you guys I will not be using my new laptop to get free net service at work ;) ;)

I see that your knowledge of hotspots is not up to par with the rest of us so I will get to the point. They offer Free hotspots all over the city. They are called "Independent Providers". So Unlike some of us who go to lunch at restaurants that provide Free Independent Providers, we don't need to steal anything. :smileyhappy:
