C600 on wireless home network?

My wife has a C600 running win98 that currently has the xircom network adapter/modem pci card installed.  We have DSL running through the modem, router (linksys), and a hub (linksys) feeding four points in the house that are hardwired with cat5 cable. The C600 works fine when we plug it into our hardwired home network.

However, she would like to use the laptop while sitting in bed, and I would like to not have to run anymore cable in this house.

Can the C600 be used on a wireless home network? Is there a different card we can buy to replace the xircom network adapter card? If so, where can we buy it? Can this be done using win98 as the OS? Yeah, I know 98 is bad, but I'd really like to not have to buy a copy of XP if at all possible in this endeavor.

Finally, how can I piggyback a wireless system onto our existing hardwired home network system? I have an open port on the hub I could use. Is there some sort of wireless router I could buy that would just plug into this open port and be in business???

Thanks
Wayne

Check with the major manufacturers such as Linksys, Netgear, D-Link, Belkin, and BUffalo and see what products they have that are 98 compatible.  It would be better if it were 98SE.

any wireless router will do since g cards are backwards compatible, I run a modem/router, wired to a wireless router, wired to a wired router with print server, this allows me to operate wireless & also print wireless, with NAT/SPI firewall, I hope you get it going! I sold all my desktops & bought a laptop, since I'm not a gamer desktop is not needed but, I have a P4 2.8 system in the closet "just in case" of Laptop failure.

I have a c600, running windows 98 (1st edition) with 128 megs Ram. I have a belkin "b" wireless card. It runs great! Windows 98 is quick with this level of RAM and the 700 megahertz processor, and the wireless card lets my wife surf the new from the sofa.
