C640 modem is not working after bios upgrade...

Hello everybody.

I has been so long since last time I used my modem. Recently I needed to make a dial-up connection and I realized that my modem does not exist in hardware tree. I tried many ways to solve problem including reinstalling WinXP , but couldn't solve problem. Then I remembered that I had updated bios software from A03 to A10. Perhaps this caused the problem.I need help. Thanks for your replies.

Firstly thanks for your reply.

I have looked for that option in bios menu but I couldn't find.

I installed A03 back but I coludn't solve problem.
Then I installed A10 back and searched modem option in bios but no solution.

Waiting for different suggestions.

:smileyhappy: No problem. Thanks for your attention.

I wonder if it is a hardware problem.
I had upgraded memory 256 to 512 a few time ago. Could modem be damaged at this time? They are under same cover. How can I test modem?
