Caller ID with Media Center

Has anyone had problems using Caller ID with a Dimension 8400 and a Dell installed V92/56K PCI datafax modem?  I can get the computer to recognize an incoming call but it will not display the caller ID.  The phone I have hooked up to the system displays the caller ID everytime (wanted to add that in so you know I do receive the caller ID service through the phone company).  Any ideas out there?  All of the settings in Media Center are setup as instructed.  Thanks!

Hmm.  I ran the "Modem Helper" app that was preinstalled on this system (8400) and it removed the modem from Windows.  The app then had a problem adding the modem back in but after rebooting and re-running Modem Helper I was able to get CallerID (caller id) working in Media Center!

FYI..  This seems to be a pretty cool application to use modems that support caller id...

I do not know if this will apply to your specific situation, but I have resolved this problem with my 4600. Take a look at my thread, here:

Perhaps the Conexant SmartHSFi V92 56K PCI Modem drivers will also resolve your problems. Perhaps they won't. It's something to try, anyway. Good luck!
